Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature 113 g
- ½ cup granulated sugar 100 g
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 cup all-purpose flour 125 g
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup buttermilk 120 ml
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to the temperature specified in the recipe.
- Grease the cake pans with butter or cooking spray and line them with parchment paper.

- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, making sure each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sal

- Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for about 10 minutes. Then, carefully remove them from the pans and place them on a cooling rack to cool completely.
- Once the cakes are cool, you can frost and decorate them as desired.
