Pudding Perfection: Indulgent Recipes and Tips for Irresistible Desserts



  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. In a saucepan, combine the 2 cups of milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it starts to simmer.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the 3 tablespoons of cornstarch and 1/4 cup of milk until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour the cornstarch mixture into the simmering milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.
  5. Cook the pudding mixture for another 2-3 minutes, or until it thickens to a custard-like consistency.
  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  7. Pour the pudding into individual serving dishes or a large bowl.
  8. Cover the pudding with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface to prevent a skin from forming.
  9. Chill the pudding in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until it’s set and cold.
  10. Serve the pudding plain or with toppings like whipped cream, fresh fruit, or chocolate shavings.
